    Dan "Peppy" Steinbrunner

    March 13, 1954 - January 19, 2022

    Daniel J. “Peppy” Steinbrunner, age 67, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on January 19, 2022 at 4:35 pm at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born March 13, 1954 in Coldwater to the late Anthony and Germaine (Staugler) Steinbrunner. On October 12, 1974 he married Sue (Harter) Steinbrunner and she survives at the residence in Celina. Other survivors include his three sons, Aaron (Ashley) Steinbrunner, Beavercreek, Ohio, Scott (Amy) Steinbrunner, Celina and Todd (Melissa) Steinbrunner, Celina; grandchildren, Brooke, Brittany, Taylor, Riley, Maci, Connor, Brady, Nick, Braylon, Peyton, Jak and Kendyll; great grandchildren, Declan and Adalynn; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters, Charley (Deb) Steinbrunner, St. Marys, Tony Steinbrunner, Lima, Dick (Linda) Steinbrunner, Montezuma, Dennis (Becky) Steinbrunner, St. Marys, Ken (Tracy) Steinbrunner, Wapakoneta, Sandy (Ray) Schott, Montezuma, Tom Steinbrunner, Montezuma, Greg (Jenny) Steinbrunner, Celina; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted (Becky) Harter, Tennessee, Tim (Barb) Harter, Celina, Steve (Linda) Harter, Van Wert. Dan is also preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Dale (Betty) Harter. Dan was a 1972 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He worked at Huffy Bicycle Company for over 25 years and later retired from Taylor Corporation after 20 years of service. He enjoyed spending time at the ball fields watching his kids and grandkids playing sports. He was an avid fan of all Celina sporting events and enjoyed coaching youth baseball for many years. Dan played softball for many years for Arnie’s Corner and Olding’s Sports World. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Tuesday, in the funeral home with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery in Celina. Memorial contributions can be made to the Celina High School baseball programs.
