    George A. Sheipline

    June 10, 1945 - January 25, 2021

    George A. Sheipline, age 75, of St. Marys, passed away at 4:35 pm on January 25, 2021 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1945 in Wapakoneta to the late Raymond & Thurza (Lottridge) Sheipline. On January 30, 1965 he married Judy (Roettger) Sheipline who survives at their residence in St. Marys. George is survived by his loving family; his wife of fifty-five years, Judy Sheipline of St. Marys; children: Brad (Becky) Sheipline of Bellefontaine, Chad (Lisa) Sheipline of St. Marys, Matt (Angie) Sheipline of St. Marys, & Heather (Hadyn) Shroyer of St. Marys; grandchildren: Brandon, Marcus, Ashley, Brittney, Allison & Sydney; step-grandchildren: Faith, Will & Nick; great-grandchildren: Brianna, Brendan, Grace, Braylon, Lainey, Autumn, & Bailey; siblings: Mary Wooley of Michigan, Bob (Pat) Schindler of Buckland, Connie House of Wapakoneta, Tom Sheipline of Anna, Eileen (Jim) Thorpe of Wapakoneta & Donnie (Joyce) Sheipline of Wapakoneta; and a sister-in-law: Melanie Sheipline of Buckland. He was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond & Thurza Sheipline; brother: Raymond Sheipline Jr.; brother-in-law: Jack Wooley; and sister-in-law: Lynn Sheipline. George graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 1964; he retired from Goodyear Tire Company after thirty-three years of employment and worked as a meat cutter at Lenards IGA in St. Marys and as a boiler operator for the City of St. Marys at the St. Marys Power Plant. Hunting, fishing, ice fishing, woodcarving, and gardening were all interests and hobbies of George. He had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed spending time outside. George was a member of the St. Marys Eagles #767. Most importantly, he had love for his entire family and he will be deeply missed by all. Due to the National Health Concerns of Covid-19, George’s funeral service on Friday January 29, 2021 at Cisco Funeral Homes in St. Marys, will be private. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Memorial contributions can be made to the Auglaize County Humane Society at 616 N Dixie Hwy, Wapakoneta, OH 45895.
