Aiden James Ashby, age 2½, of Coldwater, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, on October 7, 2026, at 5:14 p.m., following complications from BPD (Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia) lung disease.

Aiden was born on December 8, 2023, to Treshawn James Ashby of Greenville and Candace Lou-Anne Walker of Coldwater.

Aiden was baptized at Nationwide Children’s Hospital on October 4, 2026.

Aiden was a happy and loving little boy who always had a smile to share. He loved blowing kisses, playing with his toys, and bringing joy to everyone around him. His sweet smile and loving personality touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

He is survived by his parents, Treshawn James Ashby and Candace Lou-Anne Walker; maternal grandparents, Stephanie (Will) Dicke of Columbus and Kenny (Jenny) Walker of Tiffin; paternal grandparents, Russell (Terri) Ashby of Greenville; uncles, Cameron (Taylor) Walker of New Knoxville and Caiden (Logan) Johnson of Columbus; niece, Teddi Mae Johnson; and great-grandparents, Larry (Jennifer) Dicke of St. Marys.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Rev. Matt Overman will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the donor’s favorite charity.
