Barbara A. Wade, age 87, of Celina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Trustwell Living at Miller Place in Celina, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 3, 1938, in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Wilson) Hogan. On December 10, 1955, Barbara married Robert Anthony Wade, and together they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on January 31, 2024.
Barbara is survived by her four children, William “Bill” R. (Lisa) Wade of Nokomis, Florida, Ronald A. (Wanda) Wade of Elk River, Minnesota, Steven S. (Amy) Wade of Celina, and Connie (James Minnick) Wade of Wapakoneta; six grandchildren, Erin, Matthew, Ashley, Derek, Haley, and Adam; and nine great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Braxton, Brock, Addison, Grayson, Jackson, Evelyn, MJ, and Liam. She is also survived by two sisters, Kathleen Bruggman of Wapakoneta and Judy Thompson of Rockford; a brother-in-law, Alex Kuzmyn of St. Marys; and special friends, Doug (Becky) Vannette of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by two sisters, Deanna Kuzmyn and Patricia (Leroy) Garmen; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Bruggman.
Barbara retired from Huffy Bicycle in Celina after 38 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, where she was active in the Altar Society and St. Vincent de Paul.
Barbara enjoyed cooking, working puzzles, and keeping busy. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was especially proud of her children and the families they built. Time spent with those she loved meant the most to Barbara, and the memories they created together will be treasured for years to come.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Prashanth Bandanadham officiating. Friends may also call at Cisco Funeral Homes on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the Mass.
Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Endowment Fund and/or EverHeart Hospice.
