Brenda A. Kerfoot, age 68, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully at 8:40 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

She was born on May 4, 1957, in Celina, to Wayne A. and Phyllis Mae (Beogher) Heckler. On May 3, 2008, she married Russell M. Kerfoot, who survives at their home in St. Marys. Brenda and Russell had shared their lives together since 2002.

In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her mother, Phyllis Mae Heckler of Celina; her daughters, Amanda Godfrey and her son, Jackson Leugers, both of Celina, and Stephanie (Brad) Sauder and their sons, Dylan and Gavin Miller, all of Van Wert; two brothers, Ron and Doug Heckler; and a sister, Connie (Michael) Quigg.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne A. Heckler.

Brenda was a 1975 graduate of Celina High School. She retired after 30 years of dedicated service as a custodian at Wright State University-Lake Campus. She was an active member of Hopewell Grange in Celina. Brenda enjoyed camping and attending music concerts with Russell, and she treasured the time she spent with her family.

In keeping with Brenda’s wishes, no services are being scheduled at this time.
