Carolann Thees

June 7, 1946 — June 23, 2025

Celina

Carolann “Carol” Kincaid Thees passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 23, 2025 in St. Marys OH.

She was born in Celina, OH on June 7, 1946, and was the eldest daughter of Lee Clyde and Elizabeth Kincaid.

Carol excelled academically and went on to earn a teaching degree from Wright State University. Prior to starting her teaching career, Carol met and married the love of her life, John “Jack” Thees. Together, they had three children and raised them in a loving home.

During the time she was raising her children, Carol began her 33-year teaching career at Immaculate Conception School in Celina, where she impacted the lives of many students and their families by spreading love and hugs generously. Her students, colleagues along with her family remember her as a guiding light who gave generously of her time and heart.

Her life was a testament to the values of faith, family and community. Carol’s involvement in local organizations, from the Mercer County Historical Society, PTA, Cub Scouts, Brownies to her dedication as a Sunday School teacher, painted a picture of a woman who believed in nurturing the bonds that hold people together. She supported her children in every endeavor, trying to never miss a thing.

She also was a bookkeeper for Thees Machine and Tool, a business that she was very proud of building with her husband, Jack.

As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Carol was exceedingly loving and proud of her family. Her visits with her loved ones were the hi-lights of her days. Making Memories with Grandma Thees will be missed by many.

Carol’s legacy is one of unwavering devotion, compassion, and resilience. Her presence lit up every room she entered, and her kindness never went unnoticed. She bravely battled cancer for many years with grace and dignity—never allowing it to take her spirit for life, even with her very last breath.

She will be sadly missed by her mother, Elizabeth Kincaid, her son, Timothy and his wife Heidi; her son Matthew and his wife Jill; her daughter Rebecca Garwood and her husband Mike; brothers, Michael Kincaid and Thomas Kincaid; grandchildren Andy, Beth, Nick, Derek, Sara, Sophia, and Garrett; and great-grandchildren Eloise, Ainsley, Ramsey, Paisley, Reeves, Lainey, Ryland, Sage and with two more on the way, Rohen & Jameson; several nieces and nephews.

Carol has gone on to join her father, husband, and her sister Judy with Our Lord Jesus.
