Dennis J. Fett, age 80, of Celina, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on August 15, 1945, at home in Fort Recovery to the late Denver and Thelma (Reynolds) Fett. On August 27, 1967, he married Elaine (Schroyer) Fett, who survives at their residence in Celina.
In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his children: Patty (Ken) Sutter of Celina, Mark (Tina) Fett of Celina, and Greg (Jenny) Fett of Springboro; a brother, John (Melody) Fett of Union City; five grandchildren: Denise (Kenneth) Kline, Andy (Megan) Ballinger, Eric (Valarie) Ballinger, Ethan Fett, and Owen Fett; two step-grandchildren: Josh (Whitney) Sutter and Dylan (Morgan) Sutter; six great-grandchildren: Gavin, Elliot, Kenrich, Axel, Reagan, and Brooklyn; and five step great-grandchildren: Hank, Ivan, Natalie, Heidi, and Jack.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Fett; and a brother, Jim Fett.
Dennis was a 1963 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Pleiku, Vietnam.
He retired from Parker-Hannifin in St. Marys after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Dennis was also a lifelong farmer, something he truly loved and felt blessed to do.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Coldwater.
Dennis had a deep love for farming, especially raising cattle and sheep. He also enjoyed reading and, above all, cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1614 St. Anthony Road, Coldwater, Ohio, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Military honors will be conducted following the service by Celina VFW Post #5713 and Celina American Legion Post #210.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the church and/or the American Heart Association.
