Jo Anne Weyandt, age 84, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Celina Manor.
She was born on April 18, 1942, in Celina, to the late Duane M. and Emma Mae (Thomas) Ashcraft. On July 18, 1970, she married the love of her life, Ronald “Ron” Weyandt, and together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Ron survives at their residence in Celina.
Jo Anne is also survived by her two sons, Jaysen (Julie) Weyandt of St. Marys and Jim (Christine) Weyandt of Bellefontaine; a sister, Carol (Homer) Burnett of Celina; a brother, Patrick Ashcraft of New York; seven grandchildren, Connie, Katie, Emily, Riley, Cheyenne, Devin, and Dylan; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brad (Lori Huffman) Weyandt; a brother, Mike Ashcraft; and a sister, Gretchen Ashcraft.
Jo Anne was a 1960 graduate of Celina High School and continued her education at The Ohio State Beauty Academy in Lima. She spent her career as a beautician, a profession she truly loved. For Jo Anne, doing hair was about much more than making someone look beautiful; it was about helping them feel good about themselves. She carried that same caring spirit into her volunteer work at Celina Manor, where she generously gave her time doing residents' hair, believing that every woman deserved to feel special and beautiful.
Jo Anne was a woman of strong Christian faith who lived her life with kindness, compassion, and a genuine love for others. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was also a member of MAD.
Blessed with a creative and artistic spirit, Jo Anne enjoyed expressing herself through her many talents. She had a special love for animals, flowers, and the beauty of the outdoors. She appreciated life's simple pleasures and found happiness in the world around her.
Above all, Jo Anne loved life and the people who were part of it. Her generous heart, warm personality, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for the kindness she shared so freely, her love for her family, and her ability to make others feel valued and cared for. Her beautiful spirit and the many memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Fr. Adam Berning officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
