Marianne Boggs

Marianne (French) Boggs, age 91, of Celina, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 surrounded by family at her residence. Marianne was born to the late James Marion French & Flora (Duncan) French on June 21, 1934 in Americus, Georgia.

Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth “Kenny” D. Boggs; a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Jacobs; and brother, James “Jimmy” Marion French

Marianne is survived by daughter, Kimberly Boggs, Celina; a son, Kenneth A. (Vonda) Boggs, Atlanta, Georgia. Marrianne was a devoted grandmother to 8 grandchildren: 18 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Marianne was a graduate of Richland High School in Georgia. Marianne married Kenneth “Kenny” D. Boggs November 1, 1952. Marianne raised her 3 children in the home her husband built in Celina. She worked in the Engineer’s office at Mercer County Court House for several years. Marianne will be greatly missed by her family.

Visitation hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 8th, at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, immediately followed by a service and celebration of life. Marianne’s grandson, Rev. Jeff Armstrong officiating.

Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

Memorial contributions may be made to CHP Home Care & Hospice in Celina, Ohio, or to Celina Cares, a local non-profit TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) organization serving the Celina community.
