Obituary

Randall “Randy” P. Piper, age 68, of St. Marys, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. He was born on May 28, 1958, in Celina to the late Debert and Judith (Hone) Piper.

Randy is survived by his children and grandchildren: April (Brock) Borger of Celina and their children, Lane, Presley, and Swayze; Ashley (John) Beams of Columbus and their children, Parker, Amelia, and Liam; Steven Gonzalez of Celina and his daughter, Aubrey; and Riley (Kensey Bruswick) Piper of St. Marys and their children, Paisley, Riley Jr., Layla, and Scarlett. He is also survived by his brothers, Rex (Terri) Piper of Rockford, Rodney (Theresa) Piper of Celina, and Travis (Misty) Piper of Mendon; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alivia Nuding, and his brother, Robin Piper.

Randy was a graduate of Celina High School. He worked for many years at Huffy Bicycles in Celina until its closing and later retired from Honda in Anna.

Randy enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved to cook—and anyone fortunate enough to enjoy one of his meals knew he was an excellent cook. Above all, Randy treasured the time he spent with his family and the memories they created together.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Randy Christian officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Following the service, family and friends are invited to continue celebrating Randy’s life at Loaded Barrel Bar and Grill, 2001 State Route 703, Celina.

Memorial contributions may be made in Randy’s name to CALL Ministries in Celina.
