Rene Pineda Arreola, age 44, of Convoy, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born on September 22, 1981, in Mexico, to Felix Pineda Sanchez and Jovita Arreola Valdes, who survive.

Rene is also survived by his daughter, Alexandra Pineda of Greenville; his siblings, Hector (Angelica) Pineda of St. Henry, Ohio, Ruben Pineda of Chicago, Illinois, Cesar Pineda of Veracruz, Mexico, Elena Pineda of Chihuahua, Mexico, Armando (Eleuteria) Pineda of Portland, Indiana, and Juan (Silvia) Pineda of Portland, Indiana; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Rene was employed at Convoy Dairy LLC in Convoy, where he was a dedicated and hardworking employee. He enjoyed working with his hands and especially liked fixing cars and doing electrical work.

Above all, family was at the heart of Rene’s life. He treasured the times when everyone could come together, especially for family reunions and cookouts filled with good food, conversation, and laughter. With family members living in different cities and communities, Rene enjoyed taking road trips to visit those he loved. Distance never diminished the importance of staying connected, and the time he spent with his family meant a great deal to him.

Rene will be remembered as a hardworking man who valued the simple things in life and, most importantly, the people he loved. His devotion to family and the memories created during their many gatherings and visits will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio. Rene’s family warmly welcomes relatives and friends to gather with them for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
