Robert L. Brown

Robert L. “Bob” Brown, age 71, of Celina, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at Mercer Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on October 22, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Robert L. and Noveda E. (Furnas) Brown.

Bob is survived by his children: Kimberly (Paul) Anthony of Saint Rose, Kelly (Ray) Wilker of Saint Rose, Tonya (Nick) Pavelka of Maria Stein, Joshua (Laura) Brown of Saint Henry, and Christopher (Kelsie) Brown of Paulding. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he deeply cherished — especially his beloved granddaughter Adeline, who held a very special place in his heart.

A 1972 graduate of Minster High School, Bob dedicated much of his life to serving his community. He spent 19 years with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy and later retired from Copeland Corporation in Sidney, where he served as head of security for 10 years. In addition, Bob volunteered with the St. Henry EMS for over 25 years, selflessly giving his time to help others in need.

Bob will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to public service. He enjoyed playing cards with his neighbors, attending the Mercer County Fair, and spending time with family and friends. He took great pride in his work and the community he served throughout his life.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the Brown family.
